Hello and Welcome to the St. Thomas More Catholic Church blog!

If you are a parent, student, parishioner or just stopping by, we welcome you. On this website and blog, you will find information and updates concerning our parish, as well as Religious Formation opportunities and Religious Education classes at St. Thomas More here in Omaha. If you have any questions or comments, we'd love to hear from you! Please contact Josie Clarey, Director of Religious Education, for more information.

At St. Thomas More, we strive to help every individual encounter the very person of Jesus Christ, who with power and union of the Holy Spirit, reveals to us the love of the Father. With every activity, class and event, we strive to assist people in this encounter. Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI said this eloquently when he said that Christianity is not simply the adherence to a moral code, or a set of ideologies, but is encounter with a person, who is the Way, the Truth and the Life - this person who comes that "We might have life, and have it abundantly" (John 10:10). Furthermore, the pope said that this meeting sparks a relationship, and it is this relationship that allows us to adhere to a moral code and a way of life that continues to unfold with joy and purpose.

Our hope for each and every person is to help each other meet with our God, the God who loves us with a maximal love and desires only our love in return. And we know that we are never to walk alone. At St. Thomas More, we pray for the light and life of the Holy Spirit to build up our community with love, to work with each other on the path of light and life.

So thank you for joining us! We are excited to be on this adventure with you!

“The most beautiful and stirring adventure that can happen to you is the personal meeting with JESUS,
who is the only one who gives real meaning to our lives.”

- Pope St. John Paul II
